Yes. So far, all of the numbered parts have been told mostly from Maestro's perspective. Now, for a post or two, it will (I think) be told from the General's perspective.

Hah, no. The General is better than Maestro. Watch it, Wally. --Maestro Besides, that would mean that Maestro would be in two places at once - at BAWDA and the ruined BAWEPE.

Look for the General's bio in the first post of this topic, coming soon along with the post from his perspective!

New chapter up! All from the General's perspective, in a journal style, except for the intro and "epilogue" of the chapter.

Next time, look for where Wally was going! I think you might be surprised... or not. :P

But I like the journal style of this.
The Librarian and General are a busy bunch, no?

Thanks! It was kind of fun to write the General's terse entries in his journal for a change. :P And yes, they certainly are busy... after all, the BAW/EPE Library contained all of the books that all the members owned at that time, and of course the rubble has to be cleared and the books have to be painstakingly restored (and translated, sometimes), one at a time. And then, of course there's the runes...

Well, glad you liked it. Naturally, I've been lazy and haven't finished any new bios yet, but I'll be working on those and the new chapter, so look for that (if they're ever finished). :P

A very-long-overdue chapter is up, rewritten so that it makes sense and is (hopefully) improved. Included: the first real appearance of Toggle/the Horoscope Man, the true name of the fish crow, and the real beginning of the two (maybe three) continuing storylines! Enjoy (or not)!

I consider this part of the Tale enjoyed, my dear Overlord.

Overdue indeed, and I now await more detail regarding this forger. And, by the way, the security on BZP hasn't become lax; it has always been lax. Trust me, I would know.

Thanks! I would have liked to show the Right Fortress as well, if I had time... the Right Fortress is a little like BZPower as described in The Specter's Last Dance, falling apart at the seams yet appearing very appealing to new members. The blue and the variety of topics to be found hide the unfortunate truth. Still, I enjoyed the chance to portray the dusty Left Fortress and the sinister, well-maintained Middle Fortress.

Anyway, let's have a vote all 'round. Shall I go back to Maestro, continue with Wally and the forger, follow Toggle and co., or chronicle Overlord's story?

I have never received so much interest in this. Nevertheless, a new chapter will be forthcoming. Thanks for the interest, folks.

EDIT: Okay, okay, it's taking a while longer than I thought. Still, it'll be up eventually. In the meantime, Mo has revised his poem and reviewed the chapters for content and grammar and stuff.

Wow, I guess I must have not read that last part, looked back, and thought you edited it in. :P

NOW FOR THE REAL UPDATE:

His profile is OVER 9000!!!!!

I really like the idea of getting a blade...
And wow, the two men's paths cross.

Very interesting, and of course, very well written.

I look forward to the next chapter.

And, naturally, I'm very glad you like it. :D

Actually, most people who came from outside the world of the Tale didn't have a weapon with them. That's why Overlord is finding it so hard to assemble a weapon, and why so many people from the other world have blocked their world from their mind. There are very few otherworld weapons, most of those are fragmented into tiny shards, and most normal people wouldn't even recognize a weapon-fragment if they saw one.

You don't need a weapon to get in through one of the broken World Gates of the other world (this world), but you lose the ability to choose your destination. However, you do need one to get through a normally working World Gate, such as those in the world of the Tale.

Or something like that. :P

Sykura, are you sure you want to know? :P

The heart of the matter was just working out the differences between the dimension of Teneo and the Tale's reality.

Now, if y'all don't mind, please and thanks, I'm going to reroute the "madness" so that this is actually the Tale's review topic again. :P

... I'm willing to bet me entire Library Card profit that the figure's Overlord.

And I'm crediting this part to myself, because Wally probably wouldn't have been motivated to update this if it hadn't been for Sykura's confusion which was caused by Teneo. You're welcome, Codrex Magna. *bows and then is shot*

Edit MUUUUUUUUUUCH later: How very strange it is to read old posts of mine. They aren't really written by me, but rather the character I was potraying at the time; perhaps this is why there are several versions of Wally and Maestro in the Tale? Because the Mages, the BAWEPE incarnations, the BAWDA incarnations, are all seperate "characters" they were potraying at different times.

I am also interested in the travel between websites; on a computer, to go from BZPower to Codrex Magna is nearly instantanious, but you have to go through a desert, a plain, and over an ocean to get there in the Tale Universe. Seperation of websites might also be a part of the cause of the multitude of characters, representing the different, land-seperated accounts of a single user in This World.

Thank you, AF. Yeah, it's a little short, but how long can you drag the General's Journal out for? :P However fun it is to describe their work, of course.

HAY GUISE

New chapter, from Overlord's point of view. Maybe a little short, but not terribly. No "action sequences", but there's really not any way they could happen this early. :P Also, first proper appearance of the forger.

Finally, Part the Tenth.

This marks three things.

1. A proper action sequence.

2. Double digits of updates.

3. I actually updated this fairly quickly. It's been quite a while since that happened. :P

So read and review, I guess.

Ha! Brinklink. And now, of course, I'm curious about the login guards. If you're thinking what I'm thinking, they shall likely get a sufficent cameo in Teneo. Can you tell me more about the guards' outfits specificly?

A very nice chapter all around, but I didn't think Overlord would make his move so soon.

Yep, Bricklink. :P Keep in mind that this is Bricklink as it is now, though. The old "Bricklink" site, from when it was called Brickbay, is an abandoned fortress down to the south next to the eBay fortress.

The Login Guards' outfits... well, they vary from fortress to fortress, and not all fortresses get them (BAW doesn't, in either version. Sites that don't let you create accounts have none, of course. Codrex Magna only has one, who isn't actually a Login Guard anyway, but that's for later). Indeed, their appearance overall does vary. The ones from like BZPower and stuff like that look more human-ish, but they're copper and have huge mechanical eyes instead. The ones at Bricklink are like copper Egyptian gods except they all have parrot heads and are pretty wordy. I'll have to wait until we actually get to other fortresses until I tell more, I guess.

Anyway, yeah, Overlord didn't make such a good judgment this time. :P However, though he didn't get the quarterstaff, two important things still did happen. Though Wally, Kaze, and Mo noticed him, they don't know who he is (or what he is). And, majorly, Overlord actually saw the Sparrowhawk Katana.
