| Welcome!
Alpha Team was a fairly popular LEGO line for two years, focusing on the adventures of the group of agents by the same name. Their mission: stop the malevolent Ogel's nefarious schemes to rule - or destroy - the planet. However, Alpha Team disappeared for a year - then resurfaced in 2004, with new morphing vehicles, heat-based weapons, and the same determination. Their last known mission was to halt Ogel's plot to freeze Earth. They succeeded, but Ogel disappeared in an escape vehicle, and it remains to be seen when he will return...
This topic is the place to discuss the Alpha Team LEGO sets, the storyline, the agents themselves... and what really happened to Ogel.
Post away!

| Fairly good sets.
I bought most of them, including the big base.
^^
Over all, nice.

It was sad.
They even made a whole magazine about it, I think.

| @AF's first post: It was, very nice.
Morgoth: I feel exactly the same way! Of course, you know, they did give it an ending through which it could continue - Ogel escaped over the mountains and into the fog, right over Alpha Team headquarters.

| After a while, I noticed the names of the missions had a trend.
Alpha Team: Mission Deep Sea
Alpha Team: Mission Deep Freeze.
Next, maybe... Mission Deep Space?

@AF: I believe so, though he's no shape-shifter...

| Anyone have any thoughts on the replacement of Crunch and Cam with Arrow and Diamond Tooth? Also, is it true that Ogel and Vladek (from Knights Kingdom) are related?

| Heh, that's quite an interesting crossover of LEGO to make. They did a crossover of Town, Creator, and Alpha Team in a comic once, too, which was odd but intriguing (it was during Ogel's Time Freeze).

The Town part was... a town.

| Back to Alpha Team...
Don't visit any Alpha Team sites ending in ".net", by the way. I went to one (I forget the exact URL) and got the Antivirus Live spyware attacking my computer.

| Sorry. I just had to. I don't look much for Alpha Team sites. And I guess that's good that I haven't been looking. But I really doubt every single Alpha Team site with a ".net" domain extension is bad. | |

| Yikes, people. Just YIKES. Addressing everything: -Actually, I think that all Alpha Team sites ending in .net are malignant. After all, I've visited all the Alpha Team sites I can find, and that was the only one both ending in .net and was malignant. -Agents was a bad idea. If they're going to make Ogel escape, why not have him return with one of his normal evil plots? -Dr. Inferno isn't that stupid, except when you compare him to Ogel. I mean, he even makes less sense than Ogel. Ogel's schemes made sense: he thought the world would be a better place if he ruled it, but when he was twice thwarted by Alpha Team, he turned nasty and tried to freeze the world instead. -I liked Dash and Flex, for no particular reason. Radia too, and Ogel if he counts. -|W|G|- | |

Well, whatever.
There's a sequel, "Dead and Gone", that has nothing to do with the original characters in the first book, but with the same plot.
See where I'm getting with this?

@AF: I believe so, though he's no shape-shifter...
-|W|G|- Actually, the first one was in a volcano where Ogel planned to launch a rocket. the rocket contained Mind Control Orbs, which would habe turned the world into Skeleton Drones.
Deep Sea was about Ogel's under-sea orbs, which he was using to take over the Oceans of the world.
And, you already know the whole Ice Orb thing.Also, in one of the 2004 games, there were three Flexes. One was secretely a Skeleton Drone. So Ogel himself doesn't need to be the one in disguise...[/color] | |
