This isn't really an issue, but it's a suggestion.
I very much dislike when composing PMs that one has to type the exact user name in the "To:" field for the PM to work properly. Because many people on here (including myself) have names that are rather long or contain special characters (this would be me), I normally simply use an asterisk and pick through the whole list of CM users (which, fortunately, isn't very long). I would prefer greatly if there was a way to have suggestions as the display name is typed. I don't know much about Forumotion. Would it be possible to add that feature?

That would be nice, and I've had the same problem, but it gives me extraordinarily few options for private messaging in the admin panel. Mild Surprise

However, usually when replying to PMs, it automatically fills the username bar (unless the member in question's username has changed). I guess it could just be my browser. Sorry about that... it is annoying. I'll be on the lookout for any option like that, as they do change the admin panel every so often.

All right. That's fine. And that replying feature actually works for me too. However, when replying to multiple people, one still has to select the second person, it seems.

Yeah, okay.

My messenger isn't working.

Whenever I hit reply, it become a blank grey screen except for the labels, and link that says "Codrex Magna" in place of the banner.

It still isn't working, but may be a temporary glitch. We'll wait a little bit and see...

That sounds like it's an HTML issue. If it's not showing the banner, and instead text, that's a sign that the HTML didn't load correctly. Try refreshing. I'm going to see if I'm having the same issue.
EDIT: I tried it, but haven't noticed anything abnormal.

On mine, when it loads, it displays everything correctly for about two seconds, then reverts to the incorrect configuration. It's also not a problem with the number of messages in the inbox - I deleted a message and it still doesn't work.

Another thought is that the HTML is having issues because of a glitch with your browser's cache. For a while it seemed that one had to erase the entire cache of your browser, but not so. On the messages page, press and hold down shift and press the refresh/reload button on your browser (Alternatively, Shift+F5). This causes your browser to completely refresh the page, and it doesn't look to your browser's cache for reference. Tell me if that works.
I can't test it out because I haven't had the problem.

Nope, that doesn't seem to be it, either, but I just figured out what the problem is exactly.

It stretches out the entire page from left to right. To get to any of the options or the box in which you type, you need to use the scrollbar at the bottom and move it over halfway (which is a long way).

It's working fine for me, and I'm using Ubuntu 10.10/Firefox.

AF, I've never seen what you're describing. Is it possible you scrolled down the page too fast while it was still trying to load the chatbox frame? Sometimes that does odd things. Also, did this happen before or after you tried to log into the chatbox?

sometimes when I log on and click on one of the forums, mainly off topic stuff *shot* it takes forever to load and other times its nearly instantanious my internet connection is good my computer is a gaming pc (for those who are unaware gaming PCs are REALLY FAST) so I think its this site

well that and the fact that I can read hidden text but thats not really a problem (for me at least)

I've noticed that certain page-topper ads cause the rest of the page to load slowly, even on a fast computer, while other ads have no effect. I think this could be what's happening with your computer. I assume you do have the ads at the top of the page?

Unless they are somehow disabled, adds only sometimes appear on my computer. There's nothing no, for instance, but oddly enough the page isn't completely loaded ... everything's fuly functional (I can navigate, post, PM, chat, and so forth), it's just that the page isn't completely loaded ...

... okay, page is loaded now, still no add, everything just like it was.

I've also noticed that this particular topic isn't loading very quickly - it may be partly due to Mo's avatar not loading properly. Otherwise, everything seems fine.

I might have a solution for the advertisements. Firefox and Google Chrome both have plenty of extensions that block a lot of ads, such as this for Firefox or this for Chrome. Internet Explorer users, I'm not sure if there is an extension for IE or not, but Microsoft has not been very big on addons for their browser, so it's entirely possible an adblock extension does not work. It may or may not work for the text Ads by Google, but then again those are not the ones causing the page to load slowly.
