| This is the topic to discuss all things StarCraft.
What do you think of StarCraft? Excited for the sequels?
In case any of you don't know what StarCraft is, it's a Real-Time Strategy game for the PC.

| my favorite is the protoss because the teleport their unts from a distant world instead of spawning or training them STARCRAFT @ IS COMING OUT W00T | |

| Yeah, I guess. I did read the description and liked it... though I've mostly forgotten it by now.  But yes, the graphics are very good, even having nothing to compare them to (I don't think I ever saw the "old" StarCraft). -|W|G|- | |

| The old StarCraft is awesome. I still play it to this day. It's got excellent gameplay. The people online, however, are insanely good, so if you're a beginner, you're out of luck 'til you get better.

| Yeah, they are really good. Some people who are good at SC I aren't as good at SC II though, because of the new units. But truly good players can adapt. Me not being one of them. Haha I don't have too much of a life either. | |

| Sorry, but it's too late. There have been beta testers for maybe around six months, so those people are already insane. But I think there's something to do with beginners being grouped together added into this version of SC. I think they're having ranks or something to help people find hopefully similarly-skilled players so they don't get wiped out in the first three minutes of the game. | Hmmm. That could be a problem. Wikipedia says just that it's for "Windows"... I assume XP and more recent.

| I was actually talking more about hardware. The Wikipedia article actually has a pretty extensive system requirements list in the way of hardware. Here's part of it: System requirements Microsoft Windows * 2.6 GHz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor * 1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista/Windows 7 users) * 12 GB hard disk space * 128 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card or better * Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 (With the latest Service Packs) and DirectX 9.0c. Now that I look at it, it appears I am okay except for the video card. The rest I barely meet the requirements. | |
