| I never got to play the oldest ones... what were they like?
And that volcano was part of another year, too... I was pretty sure that it was an extraplanetary volcano and part of the Space theme, though that might be wrong.

| I have all the original sets, it seems none of them were in space. If so, Ogel has a new force on his side; the lack of oxygen. None of the characters had space gear execpt Flex in one set and Ogel (obviously), and Flex was supposed to be scuba-diving. The first Alpha team was all about finding Mind-Conrol Orbs and destroying them, and later locating Ogel's base inside an island volcano.
The first games were pretty bad; each character on Alpha Team had one. The Deep Sea games, however, were more entertaining. One, called "Darkness Lurks Below", was one puzzle after another with short scenes explaining the story. in the other, "Evil Music", you guided either Dash or Cam through Ogel's Volcano base trying to stop his weather mechine. There were a few puzzles here and also assembly games (they give you a heap of parts, you build something specific), but for the most part you were running through underground tunnels avoiding Skeleton Drones and Mind-Control Orbs.

| Well, I always thought that this was a Space-themed set, but I guess not...
Those games sound pretty good... is there anywhere to play them these days?

| The original lame ones, one for each character, yes. The onther two may be found on LEGO's site under "games", but may not, I haven't checked. | |

| That's probably true. Once I found out more about it and got a set or two, Alpha Team became one of my favorite types of LEGO.

| Still, it would be a good next step. Why go through all the copyright paperwork and theme research when you can just bring back a pre-copyrighted, well-researched, successfull theme? | |

| It's true, very true. Plus with all the loose ends and possible remaining fans, it might work very nicely, maybe more than "Agents".

| I wonder which was more popular: Alpha Team or Agents? One was undoubtably better selling than the other, and since Agents appears to be dicontinued (I think) Perhpas Alpha Team is still a posibilty. | |

| Ah, but Ogel's helmet allows him to breathe in oxygen-less areas, such as under the sea[/sabastian].
Plus, he has the ability to create evil lairs with vast amounts of technology in virtually any enviornment. After all, at the end of the orginal Alpha Team, his rocket crashed into the ocean. One year later, he had not only survived under water, but had taken over the entire sea floor. There was no connection between Deep Freeze and Deep Sea (although Ogel escaped in his sub, that has nothing to do with ice), but he still might be builing an evil asteriod base or something.

| His mind control orbs are bombs. He flies over a city in his rocket and drops them, and half the city becomes enslaved in one shot.
IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!
Of course, he could've just bombed Alpha Team and been done with it.

| IT WAS A SUBMARINE SHAPED LIKE AN OCTAPUS.
...
Actually, my sister's friend's brother bought Ogel's Command Center , and, now that he's off to colledge, I got most of it (but not the base that the center rested on. I can build it completely, but I don't have the base...)

As for the command center, the Skeleton Drones where certainly worth it, and I did get several other sets from him, including the Bomb Squad...

| I liked them too... I mean, they're kind of weird helmets for the ice, yes, but they had some amount of aesthetic appeal. Ogel's mutated ugly speeder had trans-medium-blue chainsaws, too, so that's another plus. -|W|G|- | |
